Overview
Hello! We are Karina and Fernando, a very Oaxacan couple who seeks to share with you our pride in the crafts of our beautiful state.
In this experience you will learn and create your own craft.
We will take you to the first artisan town, San Antonino Castillo Velasco, famous for its beautiful hand-embroidered textiles and a place where you can learn and embroider a small detail that you can take with you.
Later we will visit San Martín Tilcajete, a place recognized for its Alebrijes and where you will have the opportunity to learn about the entire process to achieve these unique pieces. Here you can paint your Alebrije. And finally San Bartolo Coyotepec, the cradle of black clay.
Here we will learn the process and elaboration of these beautiful crafts, in which we will participate to create and design a unique piece in the world.

Fernando and I, your guides, will introduce ourselves in typical Oaxacan clothing. -

San Antonino Castillo Velasco, famous for its peculiar and fine embroidery.
Here you will learn the entire process from the meaning of the designs, embroidery techniques and the making of each of the garments. -
2 hours 20 min
Land of black mud.
In San Bartolo Coyotepec you will learn the origin of this unique material in the world, we will see the molding and baking process to achieve these pieces and their different uses.
You will create a piece with your own hands in this experience. -
San Martin Tilcajete
2 hours 10 min
San Martín Tilcajete, land famous for its Alebrijes.
In this place you will learn the historical origin of these unique pieces, the necessary materials as well as the collection and carving process, color creation methods that you will use in the workshop to paint your own Alebrije.
